For this cosplay, I wanted to capture Sansa Stark in her later seasons — especially the confident, colder and more composed version of her from Season 7. I have always loved fantasy costumes, and Sansa’s look immediately stood out to me because it feels elegant, powerful and dramatic without being overly loud.
Most of this costume was handmade or heavily altered by me. The dark dress and structured bodice were created to give the outfit that strong Northern silhouette, while the fur cape was probably the most important part for bringing the whole Winterfell feeling together. I wanted the costume to look warm, heavy and regal, but still practical enough to move around in during a shoot. Some smaller pieces, like the gloves, were bought and then matched to the rest of the outfit.
The biggest challenge was making all the different textures work together — the soft fur, the dark fabric, the leather-like details and the metal accessories. I spent several weeks working on the costume on and off, adjusting pieces until the whole look felt right. The red wig also played a huge part in making the character recognizable, so styling it in a way that felt natural but still very Sansa was really important to me.
I really enjoyed bringing this version of Sansa to life. She has such a strong presence, and portraying her more self-assured side was exactly what I wanted for this cosplay.
